Our
Watershed
Sequalitchew Creek is one of the last intact riparian corridors in the Puget Sound..
Its
Inhabitants
This is why we see Bald Eagles, Marbled Murrelet, Herons, King Fishers, Hawks, Owls, McKay's Bunting, Hummingbirds, Pileated Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Finches, Wrens, and so many other species of birds.
Its
Flora & Fauna
Many species of plants, mammals, amphibians and fish have been documented in and around our creek and surrounding watershed, some threatened and endangered.
What is its
Value?
Is gravel worth more than wetlands?
Our wetlands are irreplaceable.
Why would we allow mining that threatens our natural resources?
What do
We Get
If the Mining Continues?
Millions more of tons of gravel removed, and millions of gallons of water will be polluted... What do we get in return?
A great big hole in the ground.
Why would we allow this to happen???
It is time to say no?
